Essex Shooting Ground - How to get there

Fyfield, Nr Ongar, Essex.

From Ongar(south of Fyfield) -at the Four Wantz roundabout on the A414, take the road sign-posted to Fyfield & Gt Dunmow (B154).
or
From White Roding/Leaden Roding(north of Fyfield) on the A1060 turn onto the B184 which is signposted to Fyfield.

When you come into the village of Fyfield, turn into the road between the shop 'Fyfield stores' and the 'Queens Head pub', and follow the road around a sharp left hand bend over the River Roding.

After a few 100 metres, turn right by the church into Cannons Lane (there is a sign for E.S.G), follow the lane to the end then turn left through the Iron Gate (again there is a sign for E.S.G) and continue up the track for about 1/4 mile past a lake on the right hand side then across the dis-used air strip (it's always best to look before you cross !)

The Shooting ground will be in front of you.
